Health Updates, A Happy New Date, & A Fun New Site

Thanks to those of you who prayed for Alyx. She is finally up and running again! Don't know what that was, but sure glad it is over. Also, I am feeling better than yesterday. I don't know why I am always getting headaches. I think I get them from my mom. NOT LIKE THAT! I mean that my mom has headaches adn migraines very often and so do I. When I was younger I used to never get headaches, but if I did it would be one that would last for a few days. They were so few and far between though, it was okay. Well, when I hit about 21 or 22 I started getting them ALL the time. Like, seriously, I have one at LEAST 4 times a week... sometimes more. Sometimes they are so bad, but sometimes they are migraines that make me cry! Anyway, my mom said that about the age she started getting hers too! Of all of the things I can get from my sweet momma, I get things like migraines, hair you have to fight with every morning, a crazy little pinkie toe, ect.... you get my drift. Well that's all for now. Mostly a check up. Oh ya, we are going to see Trevor tomorrow! We are so excited and can't wait. It has been 2 LONG weeks and me and the kids miss him terribly :( Last night Alyx looked at me really sad and said "Daddy left me..." That just breaks my heart. Poor thing doesn't understand what is going on but thank goodness we will finally be getting to move up there with him on the 7th of August. My Poor Baby!

Okay, I haven't posted in a couple of days. I wanted to... just couldn't. My sweet Alyx has not been feeling well. She woke up crying "I poo poo momma" in a sad little voice. Sure enough she had diarrhea which continued all day and still is. The bad thing is that it has been bloody! Talk about scary. My mom, who is a nurse and a has worked for a pediatrician for years, took a look and said it was for sure blood. She said that sometimes too much acid in it can cause that or something that she's eaten. She said to just keep a good eye on her and make sure it doesn't get worse. She started running a low grade fever last night and that is pretty much staying the same today. I just hate it when the little ones are sick and momma can't make them better. The good thing is that I know One who can - if you could, say a little prayer for her to get well. I'm going to go get her some more Tylenol now...

Woohoo- I'm good for day 2!

See, told you I was gonna get better. This is a first for me... 2 days straight! Now for the hard part- what to say. Oh I know something. It started this past Tuesday. I had company coming over for dinner which had been planned for days. Anyway, I am cooking and my mom is already there in the kitchen with me visiting. The phone rings and I answer it. It was my sons baseball coach. Baseball has been over for several weeks now. Well he says says "I know this is kinda short notice but..." Here I am thinking he's gonna say that his son, who is Micah's age, is gonna have a birthday party this weekend or something. You know - telling me Tuesday that there is a party Friday. That would be short notice yes, but this is what followed... "Ummm there is gonna be a pool party for the baseball kids - TONIGHT... at 6:00." Wow, I have heard of short notices, but tonight! To top it off it was alread about 5:40 when he called and the party was gonna be at 6:00! We had plans so didn't go. One of the ladies in charge did see me later and told me that they were going to do it again Thursday (last night). Eliana was in baseball this year too - she was so cute in her tiny uniform- so I load up the kids and take them. I'm not excited about sitting at a pool watching the 2 kids and struggling with the little one to keep her out, so we go a little after it starts. We walk in and there is a pool full of teenagers! I wasn't sure what to think - so I walk over to an adult and ask if we were supposed to be there? Maybe the lady got it wrong or something. I was worried that we walked in on someones personal swimming party and they didn't know why we were there! He said yes, it's for the baseball kids. Ya, it was for baseball kids alright - the really old kids. The one on Tuesday had been for the young ones! He told us we could stay though so I let kids swim. Luckily before long a couple of other little ones Eliana's age came and a few Micah's age. Turns out they didn't even get a call about the first one. Go figure!??! Here's a picture I took of Alyx there. Surprisingly she didn't throw a fit to get in! She just chilled with me while I tried to get some pictures. Just ignore her dirty face!

Okay seriously it isn't even funny how I've neglected the blog! I am not going to do that anymore- if I said that before then...well..this time I mean it. From now on no more bad blogger! I'm also going to go and try to encourage other bad bloggers to get better at it over at The Digi Chick - if there are any bad bloggers there?! Seriously the reason I don't blog much is because I just don't ever know what to say. When I read people's blogs they are always full of great stories and stuff and well, I've got nothin'! When any of those cute little things happen with the kids that make me think "that could go in the blog", I try really hard to remember about it but then forget :( I'm gonna have to start being like my mom and leaving myself reminder notes all the time! Heehee Well, I guess I will go for now. I will update again soon...REALLY! Adios.
